Red Leaf Visualization studio brings Hudson Yards retail to life

The 110-year-old Lower East Side icon Russ & Daughters officially opened a new location in Hudson Yards last week, its fourth location, joining the original Russ & Daughters shop and cafe on the Lower East Side,  and locations in the West Village and in Brooklyn.

In collaboration with Anthony Markic Architecture and Related, our team at Red Leaf developed visual assets throughout the design process, creating clear materials to make final decisions on design details and market the exciting addition of the iconic NYC deli. Capturing the excitement of the newly built outpost while honoring the look and feel of Russ & Daughters, the renderings detail the instantly recognizable deli counter and appetizing showcases. It was also important to convey how the signature Russ & Daughters neon lightbox would project presence onto the exterior.

Located at 34th Street and Tenth Avenue, Russ & Daughters is at the base of Related’s 50 Hudson Yards – the neighborhood’s largest commercial office building by square footage, standing 1,011 feet tall with 2.9 million gross square feet. Red Leaf has worked in partnership with Related throughout the entire Hudson Yards development process, producing immersive visual assets capturing over 200 retail locations as well as an interactive 360-degree virtual tour of the development.
